The team of professionals at Lakeshore Educational & Counseling Services L.L.C. are committed to supporting the needs of our communities by providing educational opportunities through our informative and interactive workshops and compassionate care through our counseling services.

Jennifer BrushJennifer A. Brush M.A., CCC/SLP, is an internationally published researcher, educator, long term care consultant, currently in practice in Northeast Ohio. Jennifer specializes in geriatric care, rehabilitation programming and interdisciplinary activity development for dementia. As a sought after speaker, she offers interactive and educational presentations that help audiences to bridge the gap between current research findings and the care needs of their clients and communities. Jennifer is the co-principal investigator on a research project sponsored by the National Institute of Health, and the Coordinator of Continuing Education at the Center for Applied Gerontology. She is the co-author of A Therapy Technique for Improving Memory: Spaced Retrieval and Time Well Spent with the Older Adult. She is the editor of IDEAS for a Better Visit, as well as the author of numerous articles.


Thomas CraftThomas H. Craft CPA, CDFA is the founder and president of Artista Financial Group and has been involved with tax, financial, estate and investment planning for over 25 years. Tom is skilled at helping individuals and families better understand their finances to build stable and rewarding financial lives. He has used his knowledge to help others navigate through periods of transition including eldercare, divorce, death and retirement. Tom assists professionals in their helping roles with his remarkable ability to take complex concepts and explain them in a simplified and understandable manner. Tom is a frequent writer on tax and estate planning issues. He has developed courses on insurance strategies, tax efficient investing, IRA distribution strategies and other estate planning topics. Tom strives to be a leader in his community and serves on the board of the Northern Ohio Planned Giving Council, president of the Broadview Heights Chamber of Commerce, and previously chaired the Leave a Legacy Northern Ohio Program. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Ohio Society of CPA's and Estate Planning Council of Cleveland.


Denise CrowtherDenise C. Crowther, JD, BSN, RN is both a registered nurse and an attorney. She received her Bachelors in Nursing from Ursuline College and her Juris Doctorate degree from Cleveland Marshall College of Law. She is currently completing a Masters Degree in Nursing Education at Ursuline College. Denise serves as a legal/medical consultant for plaintiff medical malpractice cases. She has been a guest lecturer on legal issues for various schools of nursing and nursing agencies for continuing nursing education. She is on the faculty for Huron School of Nursing, part of the Cleveland Clinic Hospital System. Denise is an adjunct faculty member at Lorain County Community College and University of Phoenix.


Susan FeeSusan Fee M.Ed., LPC - Susan is a counselor, executive and personal coach, adjunct college instructor and author, with a BA in Communications and a Master's Degree in Counseling. For the past 12 years Susan has worked as an independent corporate trainer for companies such as Motorola, United Airlines, and Disney specializing in communication skills, negotiation, and conflict resolution. Susan is a successful freelance writer with over 100 published articles and four communication tips booklets: Positive First Impressions: 83 Ways to Establish Confidence, Competence, and Trust and Dealing With Difficult People: 83 Ways to Stay Calm, Composed, and in Control and Building Resiliency and Secrets of Successful Presentations. She is also the author of Marketing Yourself to the Top, and a college survival book, My Roommate is Driving Me Crazy!She is an executive and personal life coach and serves as adjunct faculty for Lakeland Community College and University of Phoenix. Susan works with Lakeshore Educational & Counseling Services, scheduling appointments in Seven Hills, Ohio.


Judi FischerJudi Fischer MA, LPCC-S - Judi is a counselor, educator, consultant, adjunct college instructor and owns and manages Lakeshore Educational & Counseling Services. She has a BS in Education and a MA in Clinical Pastoral Counseling. She is licensed by the State of Ohio as a Professional Clinical Counselor with supervisory designation, scheduling appointments in Vermilion and Seven Hills, Ohio. Her experience in education includes classroom teaching and educational presentations on a wide range of topics for professionals, community organizations, businesses, schools and churches. In her private practice she works with children, adolescents, adults and families experiencing loss, life transitions, depression, anxiety, relational conflicts, self-esteem difficulties, stress related problems and spiritual concerns. With over eleven years experience in the area of grief and loss, she has facilitated groups, developed programs and written published articles. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, the Ohio Counseling Association, the American Association for Christian Counselors, active in her local church and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.


Loretta HeindrichsLoretta Heindrichs, LSW, MS is licensed by the State of Ohio as a Social Worker, with a Masters Degree in counseling. Her experience includes working in home health care, adult day care and older adult education. After many years of listening to ordinary people relate the extraordinary stories of their lives, she was drawn to the field of personal history. Her passion is helping generations come closer together through shared stories and shared values. Loretta is a member of the Association of Personal Historians and has extensive experience with assisting others record their histories using a variety of methods. Loretta teaches interactive classes about writing ethical wills (non-legal documents bequeathing values). She is the owner of Keepsake Video Memories, LLC. Loretta is involved with her church working with the seniors and facilitating the recording of the church's history. She is also a board member for P.E.O. International, a philanthropic education organization promoting educational opportunities for women.


Kelsey LoushinKelsey Loushin BA, LICDC - Kelsey has a B.A. from Kent State University in Individual and Family Studies and is a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC). She is also a Certified 2 Young 2 Retire facilitator. Kelsey is the owner of The Eldercare Professionals of Ohio, a Geriatric Care Management Company specializing in resource and referral services for adults 55 and older. Kelsey serves as Director of the Eldercare Professionals of Ohio Networking group, encouraging professional cohesiveness in the field of Eldercare. Kelsey is the CEO of ContinuingEducationLinks.com LLC, a web-based company providing continuing education resources for healthcare professionals. Kelsey also works as an independent consultant for Employee Assistance Programs and Healthcare companies, developing continuing education curriculums and facilitating trainings on a weekly basis.


Lisa NorgardLisa Norgard, Ph.D., MSW, LISW - Lisa is a professor of social sciences at Lambuth University in Jackson, TN where she directs the social work program and teaches courses such as: Human Behavior in the Social Environment, Individual, Family and Community Practice, Social Research and Diversity in Practice. Dr. Norgard has presented at many professional and state wide conferences on mental health issues in children, adults, and families, as well as training for corporations on stress management. Dr. Norgard has been a psychotherapist both in private practice and community mental health settings for the past twelve years specializing in depression, anxiety, relationships, and non-medical methods of treating childhood mental health problems. She also specializes in multicultural therapy and is bilingual in Spanish. Dr. Norgard has research interests in psychiatric stigmatization of children in regard to stimulant medication, burn-out/compassion fatigue for mental health workers, learning and teaching styles in academia, anxiety disorders in women, and mental health issues of migrant farm workers and immigrants. Dr. Norgard has also participated in community development projects in Ecuador and Costa Rica. A few of her distinguished honors include: recipient of President Bush's 1,000 Points of Light Award for Community Service, Amigos de las Americas Volunteer of the Year Award, featured as a therapist valuable to Lorain County, University of Toledo Peer Counselor of the Year and a guest lecturer for Governor Taft's Developmental Disability Council. Currently Dr. Norgard presents workshops in Tennessee and the surrounding areas.


Bob PontiusBob Pontius, MA - Bob is the Director of Marketing for Rural Metro Ambulance and an Assistant Professor in the School of Communication at the University of Akron. Having served both industries well, Bob is combining his expertise in Communications and Healthcare by presenting workshops for Lakeshore. His Bachelors Degree is in Organizational Communication from Cedarville University where he studied humor in education, and his Masters Degree is in Interpersonal Communication from The University of Akron where he studied humor in the sales process. He has been with Rural Metro since 2004 and The University of Akron since 2001. Bob resides in Stow with Bethany, his wife of 10 years, and his four kids, Bobby, Mary, Grace and George.


Ron PossyRonald A. Possy, LICDC - Ron is licensed by the State of Ohio as an Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor. He has over 31 years of extensive experience working in multiple alcohol/drug treatment modalities. He specializes in treatment for the adult population and currently sits on the Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services Board of Lorain County as Vice President. He volunteers on the Lake Erie Addictions Board of Directors, serving as Treasurer. He is proud to have served in the U.S. Navy. Ron works with Lakeshore Educational & Counseling Services scheduling assessments and individual counseling appointments in Vermilion, Ohio.


Gayle ReevesGayle Reeves, LPA - Gayle is the president of Gayle A. Reeves Co., L.P.A. and has been practicing law for over 20 years. Gayle's law practice focuses on estate planning, with an emphasis on long-term care planning, special needs planning and Elder Law. Gayle is dedicated to solving clients' problems and providing legal services that meet their needs. Gayle is experienced performing a comprehensive estate and long-term care planning evaluation to determine the best planning strategies to meet the estate planning and long-term care objectives of her clients. Gayle assists her clients with planning for disability through the use of Powers of Attorney, Living Trusts, Special Needs Trust, and Living Wills. She has presented programs on such topics as long-term care planning, changes in Medicaid since the Deficit Reduction Act, the basic estate planning documents (what they do and why you need them), living wills and durable powers of attorney for healthcare, and planning for your disabled child. Gayle is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Ohio State Bar Association, in which she sits on the Elder Law Committee, and is president of the Lorain County Bar Association. She also sits on the Board of Directors for the Community Foundation of Lorain County, and presently serves as Secretary of the Board.


Carol RoeCarol A. Roe JD, MSN, RN - Carol is both a registered nurse and an attorney. She is employed by the Centers for Dialysis Care as Director of Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management. Carol's career has encompassed the roles of staff nurse, nursing administrator and educator. Additionally, as a lobbyist for the Ohio Nurses Association, she advocated the profession's views to the Ohio General Assembly. As public affairs consultant for the Ohio Board of Nursing, she advised the Ohio General Assembly about the impact of legislation on nursing regulation. She has published in the areas of nursing law and professional issues.


Michele WeberMichele Weber, M.Ed., LPCC - Michele has a B.A. in Psychology and a M.Ed. in Community Agency Counseling. She is licensed by the State of Ohio as a Professional Clinical Counselor with supervisory designation. She has special training in Family Counseling, Mediation and Conflict Resolution, HIV/AIDS Counseling, Women's Issues in Mental Health and Child and Adolescent Counseling. Michele has received training in play therapy, facilitated adolescent groups and represented the county in courtroom abuse and neglect cases. Her volunteer activities include; Meals on Wheels, school organizations and Habitat for Humanity. Michele works with Lakeshore Educational & Counseling Services scheduling counseling appointments for children, adolescents and adults in Vermilion, Ohio.


Leneigh WhiteLeneigh White, NCC, LPCC-S - Leneigh has a BA in Psychology from Northeastern University and a MA in Counseling Psychology from Lesley College. She is a National Certified Counselor and a Professional Clinical Counselor working with individuals and families across the life span. She is the founder and director of Strongsville Family Counseling where she enjoys individual, couple, and family counseling as well as more specialized interventions, such as ADHD assessments, play therapy and sand tray. Additionally, she is the co-founder of Professionals Helping Families. In this role, she participates in community trainings aimed at helping families identify and cope with various problems such as parenting, divorce, and elder abuse. Her personal and professional motto is "Helping Families Flourish."
